Atlapa Convention Center
The most important convention center in Panama and Central America, and a major player in the meetings arena is the Atlapa, with a total capacity of 10,500 people and offering a variety of facilities and services to ensure the success of any event. Climate-controlled throughout, its innovative design includes a 32,000-sf exhibit hall accommodating 3,000 for a meeting or banquet, as well as space for 200 booths. Moveable, soundproof walls can divide the main hall into three sections for 2,000 persons each, while drive-through truck lanes permit exhibit materials to be transported directly into the hall. Other convention center features include simultaneous translation in six languages, a modern sound system and full travel services.
Cultural and theatrical productions take the stage in Atlapa’s two professional theaters, one a beautiful 2,806-seat auditorium with fixed seating, the other accommodating 500 persons in flexible seating. For smaller groups, there are 16 meeting rooms with a capacity range of 40 to 400.
