Vice President of Sales & Sourcing, Meeting Alliance
John has more than 22 years experience in the hotel and resort industry. He has held various regional and on-property sales positions with organizations including Marriott Hotels, Preferred Hotel Group, Krisam Group and Orient-Express Hotels.
During his hotel career, John worked with many national corporate and trade association meeting planners in placing group meeting and incentive business at domestic and international hotels and resorts. Properties that John has represented in the past include The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia; The Santa Clara Marriott, Santa Clara, California; La Costa Resort & Spa, Carlsbad, California; The Garden City Hotel, Garden City, New York; Charleston Place, Charleston, South Carolina; Hotel Cipriani, Venice, Italy and Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia.
John joined Meeting Alliance in 2004 in the key role as Director of Sales to manage the expansion of Meeting Alliance’s existing client base, and was promoted in 2009 to Vice President of Sales & Sourcing. He also created the company’s Sourcing Department, and continues to develop and grow key client relationships and new business opportunities
John specializes in corporate, association and incentive business. He has extensive domestic and international travel experience, enabling him to make qualified hotel, resort, destination and venue recommendations to his clients.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, John earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Art History at The University of Tennessee.
He is an advisory board member of the French Government Tourist Office. John lives in Hackensack, New Jersey and enjoys traveling to unique domestic and international destinations.
